Buffalo, or more acurately, Bison, is a local meat product that a lot of us may have not yet tasted, but it is well worth the try! Our Buffalo is naturally raised on the open range without all the drugs, chemicals and genetic modifications that seem to be unescapable in today’s typical markets.
The Steaks!
These all natural, premium Buffalo cuts will deliver the goods to even the most demanding of connoisseurs. They are tender, great tasting, and are lower in fat than other red meats. Filet Mignon
Tender and delicious, the Bison Filet Mignon is more than a dream come true for today’s health concious carnivoir! The very best in all aspects of flavor, texture, and health. This premium cut is low in fat and high in protien, making it a very healthy choice!
Buffalo Ribeye
This is same cut as Prime Rib but in a steak version. This cut is richly marbled and the flavor in those veins of “butter fat” is second to none! You will love these ribeyes no matter what cooking method decide on, but grilled may be the best choice of all.
New York Strip
Also know a a strip loin steak, this is cut from the Buffalo’s short loin and is also especially tender because the muscle is little used. Great taste, tenderness and a little less fat than the ribeye, make the New York Strip one of our most favorite cuts.
Buffalo Sirloin
Lower in fat, the Buffalo Sirloin could be know as the Sirlean steak. This cut is very versatile and tastes great whether it’s bbq’d, broiled, stewed, etc. As with all the lower fat Bison cuts, cooking times are shorter so take care not to overcook.
Buffalo Roast
Bring a new dimension to mom’s special pot roast recipe with a Buffalo roast from High Arctic Seafoods & Steaks. If your friends and/or family don’t know it is Buffalo… they will just be wondering why the roast was so good this time!
The Meat Products
One of my biggest complaints (or disappointments) with the typical grocery store vesions of the following product types is the amount of fat they contain. Not only does it make for a mushier texture, but I’d rather not pay that price for what seems like more fat than meat. This is not so with all of these Buffalo products! They are way leaner and are made with 100% trimmings from the Buffalo and do not not contain any fillers, organs, or any products from other animals, like pig fat.
