teaspoon(s) cooking oil, divided
12 pork chops, fat trimmed off
3 cooking apples (such as McIntosh) cored and sliced
3 4 1/2 oz strained plums (baby food)
0.25 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
0.13 teaspoon(s) ground cloves
1 pinch(es) salt
2 tablespoon(s) white vinegar
Spiced Plum Pork Chops Directions
Heat 1 tsp. cooking oil in deep frying pan. Add 6 pork chops. Brown both sides. Remove to plate. Add second 1 tsp. of cooking oil in pan. Add remaining 6 pork chops. Brown both sides.
Place 1/2 of apple slices over 6 pork chops in frying pan.
Stir next 5 ingredients together in a bowl. Spoon 1/2 of plum mixture over apples on pork chops. Arrange remaining pork chops over top. Cover with second 1/2 of apples and remaining plum mixture. Cover. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Add a bit of water to sauce if needed. Remove cover. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove pork chops and keep warm. Boil sauce in pan until thickened. Serve with pork chops.
