Saucy Sirloin

Ingredients

For 6 servings

Recipe

  • 1.5 pound(s) sirloin steak, cut in thin strips
  • 2 tablespoon(s) oil
  • condensed consomme\\\’
  • 0.25 cup(s) Burgandy or other dry red wine
  • 0.5 cup(s) green onion, diagonally sliced ( 1 inch pieces)
  • 0.5 cup(s) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash(es) dry mustard

Saucy Sirloin Directions

  1. In frying pan, brown steak in oil; pour off fat.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Cover; cook over low heat 20 minutes or until meat is tender.
  4. Stir now and then. Mix 1/4 cup water and 2 tablespoons cornstarch; gradually blend inot sauce.
  5. Cook, stirring until thirckened.
  6. Serve over rice or pasta.
